Update: No additional jail time for former Blagojevich adviser Rezko

Antoin “Tony” Rezko, the former top adviser and fundraiser to ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich, was spared today from serving more time in prison.

U.S. District Judge James Zagel went along with an agreement reached between the prosecution and defense, sentencing Rezko for a fraud conviction to a 7 ½-year sentence that will run concurrent with a 10 ½-year prison term handed down last month for a separate conviction.
