Volunteers welcome at Elmhurst Historical Museum

Volunteering at Elmhurst Historical Museum is fun and makes a valuable community contribution.

Volunteering at Elmhurst Historical Museum is fun and makes a valuable community contribution.

Summer is a busy time at the Elmhurst Historical Museum when visitors come from throughout the Chicago area to experience a new exhibit, special events, and programs. To support these efforts, the Museum is in need of volunteers of high school age or older in the following areas: children’s craft programs, visitor services, special events, office/clerical, and exhibit installation.
Depending on the task, volunteer opportunities are available every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the commitment level may be as minimal as only four hours per month. Days and hours are flexible with training and orientation provided.
A volunteer application is available to download from our website at www.elmhursthistory.org (on the Volunteers page) or a printed copy can be mailed or picked at the Museum. Elmhurst Historical Museum’s public hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 1-5 p.m., so stop by to check out the museum and experience first-hand what goes on inside the Glos Mansion.
If you need more information or have a question, please call Nancy Himmes at Elmhurst Historical Museum at 630-833-1457 (Monday through Friday, 1-5 p.m.) or e-mail her at nancy.himmes@elmhurst.org. The Elmhurst Historical Museum staff is grateful to the community for sharing their energy and talents with the Elmhurst Historical Museum.
