Dolls on Parade

Benedale Center for Assisted Living and Memory Care on the campus of Villa St. Benedict in Lisle held a vintage doll show for its residents. Staff members brought in collector dolls like Shirley Temple, Madame Alexander and American Girl to be on display and passed around for everyone to enjoy.
The oldest doll belonged to a 95 year old Benedale resident who played with the doll when she was only five years old. One of the nurses even made a doll cake, so everyone had a sweet treat to eat that day.
These dolls brought joy to anyone who held them as seen by the smiles on faces of both residents and staff. It is clear that girls never outgrow their love for dolls.
