Crime Stoppers Seeks Advisory Board Members


DuPage County Crime Stoppers, DuPage Counties leader in accepting anonymous crime related tips, is currently accepting applications to fill vacancies on their all volunteer advisory board. Anyone meeting the following criteria is eligible to become an advisory board member – you must be 18 years of age or older, an American Citizen, a DuPage County Resident, pass a in depth background check conducted by the office of the DuPage County Sheriff, have access to a computer with a internet connection and e-mail.
The responsibilities of an Advisory Board member are to promote amongst its division the Crime Stoppers concept.
Division 1 North East Bensenville, Itasca, Wood Dale, Addison, Elmhurst, Villa Park, Lombard,
Oakbrook Terrace.
Division 2 South East Oak Brook, Westmont, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills,
Woodridge, Darien, Burr Ridge.
Division 3 North West Wayne, Bartlett, Hanover Park, Carol Stream, Roselle, Bloomingdale, Glendale
Division 4 South West – West Chicago, Winfield, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Warrenville, Lisle.

Each division will be responsible for promoting Crime Stoppers within that area. This is accomplished by establishing a working relationship with the divisions police chiefs ,representing Crime Stoppers at city, village or town functions, guest speaking for community organizations and lastly fundraising.
