Chicago Bronze English Handbell Ensemble

Chicago Bronze English Handbell Ensemble

Area residents looking for a unique and convenient way to travel this spring without leaving their seats will want to attend an exciting concert featuring Chicago Bronze, an accomplished community English handbell ensemble.

The concert kicks off on Saturday, April 28, at 3:00 PM at Sulzer Regional Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL. The library is located on N. Lincoln Ave. just north of W. Montrose Ave. Admission is free.

In Chicago Bronze’s spring concert audience members travel “Around the World with Chicago Bronze”, where they will hear music from Puerto Rico, Ireland, Africa, France, Israel and Taiwan. The program concludes with a rousing arrangement of “The Stars and Stripes Forever”. From the insistent rhythm of African music to the peaceful quiet of a French countryside, the variety in this program will feature all the many impressive techniques and beautiful sounds that handbells can offer.

Since 1999, Chicago Bronze has brought the art of handbell music to the Chicago area and beyond. Currently under the direction of Andrea Handley, Chicago Bronze members are committed to musical excellence! Dedicated musicians ring seven octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes—69 bells and 49 chimes in all.

For more information about the concert you can contact 877-793-7464.
