Sheila Leonard, wife of radio personality Roy Leonard, dies

Sheila Leonard often played a role in her husband Roy’s long-running conversation with listeners during his 31 years at WGN-AM.

“She went with me everywhere,” Roy Leonard said, recalling the many entertainment events he covered for the station. “She loved the theater and she loved to dine out.”

Mrs. Leonard, 85, died Tuesday, March 13, at The Mather in Evanston, after a struggle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease, her family said.
