Travel Clinic offers immunizations, information for foreign travelers

DUPAGE COUNTY— You have your passport, your reservations are confirmed, and your bag is packed. If you still have that nagging feeling that you are forgetting something, remember that without the appropriate information on health precautions, you are at increased risk for contracting diseases.

The Travel Clinic at the DuPage County Health Department can help you prepare for a safe and healthy trip to any destination in the world.

Travel immunizations and health information for foreign travel are available by appointment only through our Travel Clinic. Charges for immunizations vary and are subject to change. For information or appointments please call (630) 682-7400

• Recommendations or requirements for immunizations
• Immunizations and pricing
• Information on foreign countries

Please go to our web site,, for Travel Clinic information and a Travel Clinic Referral Form. This travel referral document should be printed and completed prior to your clinic appointment for vaccination. Use this form if your employer participates in group billing for immunization services at the Health Department Travel Clinic. Also inform us of this affiliation when you make your appointment.

It is important to contact your physician or the Travel Clinic as soon as you begin planning your trip. Some of the following immunizations/medications need to be taken two to four weeks prior to travel:
• Hepatitis A Vaccine
• Malaria Medication (information only)
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella Vaccine
• Meningococcal Vaccine
• Rabies Pre-exposure Vaccine
• Tetanus / Diphtheria Vaccine
• Typhoid Fever Vaccine
• Polio Vaccine
• Yellow Fever Vaccine
