Wheaton-Warrenville teachers to get raises

Retirement payout for teachers in Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 will be scaled back, but they’ll get raises the next three years under a new labor agreement contract.

The three-year contract, approved Wednesday night and which will end in 2015, eliminates a 6 percent retirement salary enhancement that had been available for teachers in each of their last four years prior to retirement, which maximized their salary to impact their lifetime pension, said Superintendent Brian Harris.
