Getting Paid to Talk, Making Money with Your Voice

The Community High School District 128 Community Education Program is offering "Getting Paid to Talk, Making Money with Your Voice," a one-day seminar that is an introduction to professional voice acting. Have you ever been told that you have a great voice? This exciting class will explore numerous aspects of voice over work for television, film, radio, audio books, documentaries and the internet in your area. The program will cover all the basics, including how to prepare the all-important demo, how to be successful, and how to earn great income in this exciting field. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to hear examples of demos recorded by professional voice actors. Class participants will even have a chance to record a commercial script under the direction of our producer! This class will be informative, lots of fun, and a great first step for anyone interested in professional voice acting.

Class will meet on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Vernon Hills High School, 145 N. Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. Cost is $25. Register through the Community Education Office,, or call to register by phone at 847-932-2176.
