Niles North Fine Arts Parents Award Summer Grants

Niles North Fine Arts Parents (NNFAP) recently awarded 18 summer grants to Niles North students to enhance their skills in art, music, dance and theatre. These grants can be used for master classes, creative workshops, private lessons, and summer camps and programs. The Summer Grants Committee, composed of Fine Arts Parents, Niles North seniors and alumni, reviewed a record number of applicants this year.

The 2012 NNFAP Summer Grant Awardees are: Chris Khoshaba, theatre; Teresa Franks, theatre; Erin Rourke, theatre; Sarah Alkyer, theatre; Robin Wallace, theatre; Ryan Loach, theatre; Hannah Sahyouni, theatre; Lauryn Schmelzer, dance/theatre; Sammy Schneider, dance; Leah Shain, choir; Sally Alvarado, choir; Glenwin Ebreo, choir; Roselie Mazor, choir; Giorgos Losoff, choir; David Liljewall, instrument lessons/jazz band; Sidrah Ahmed, violin lessons/orchestra; Jonathan Luk, viola lessons/orchestra and Ginel Lumpkin, art.

Applicants are required to submit an application describing the activity they plan to pursue along with their personal goals for participating in the activity, and a brief proposal for sharing their learning experience with fellow students.

NNFAP is a nonprofit charitable organization. Membership fees and donations directly fund student grants, and determine the number of grants available.
