Learning for Life at Harper

Local residents ages 55 and older convened on Harper's campus on Wednesday, August 5 to get the scoop on the College's Lifelong Learning Institute -- a program offering courses, seminars, trips, tours and lectures for seniors.

All emphasize the joy of continued learning; the opportunities, offered through Harper's Continuing Education department, carry no homework, tests or grades.

Fall options include a "History of Brewing in Chicago" course and a trip to Indianas covered bridges.

The August 5 open house at Harper allowed participants to meet Lifelong Learning program instructors, attend short class previews and enjoy free refreshments.

For more information on the program, call Continuing Education, 847.925.6300.
