Woman arrested on birthday for shoplifting perfume, and more

The following items were taken from Schaumburg Police reports on May 21.

Theft

  • A 23-year-old Waukegan woman and a 21-year-old Chicago woman were arrested about 7:30 p.m. May 12 – on the 23-year-old’s birthday – at Sephora in Woodfield Mall, and each charged with misdemeanor retail theft after stealing three bottles of perfume.
  • A 68-year-old Carol Stream woman was arrested at 2:50 p.m. May 16 at Marshalls, 1488 E. Golf Road, and charged with violating a retail theft ordinance after she stole a hat.
  • A 26-year-old Elgin woman was arrested at 8:15 p.m. May 14 at Kohl’s, 171 N. Barrington Road, and charged with violating a retail theft ordinance after she stole a necklace and a shirt.
  • A 47-year-old Aurora woman was arrested about 6 p.m. May 12 at Sephora in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole a makeup brush and makeup items.
  • A 37-year-old Elgin woman was arrested about 6:30 p.m. May 10 at Claire’s in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she tried to steal three pairs of gloves by hiding them in her purse.
  • A 20-year-old Schaumburg man was arrested at 1:37 p.m. May 10 at Macy’s in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after he stole two pairs of pants and a shirt.

Driving under the influence

  • A 29-year-old man from Florida was arrested at 1:07 a.m. May 20 near State Parkway and Wilkening Road, and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence and cited for driving without the headlights on.
  • A 20-year-old Aurora man was arrested at 2:20 a.m. May 13 near Golf and Meacham roads, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and cited for speeding and improper lane usage.
  • A 40-year-old Schaumburg man was arrested at 6:30 a.m. May 12 in the 800 block of Roselle Road, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and cited for improper lane usage.
  • A 29-year-old Bensenville woman was arrested at 1:18 a.m. May 11, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and cited for improper lane usage and failure to signal.
  • A 24-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested at 1 a.m. May 10 near Algonquin Road and Illinois Route 53, and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence and cited for speeding, squealing tires, improper lane usage and having no insurance.
  • A 29-year-old Bloomingdale woman was arrested about 3 a.m. April 22 near Farm Gate and Roselle roads, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and cited for improper lane usage.

Property damage

  • A 67-year-old Schaumburg woman was arrested about 2:30 p.m. May 11 at Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor damage to a motor vehicle after she was seen keying a car in the parking lot.
