Man charged with stealing glucose test strips, and more

The following were taken from Schaumburg Police reports on May 14.

Theft

  • A 38-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. May 4 at Walgreens, 1180 S. Roselle Road, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after he stole seven packages of glucose test strips.
  • A 25-year-old Schaumburg woman was arrested about 1:20 p.m. April 9 at her home, and cited for a retail theft ordinance violation after stealing three pieces of jewelry from Kohl’s earlier that day.
  • An 18-year-old Calumet City man was arrested about 4 p.m. April 28 at Macy’s in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after he stole two shirts.
  • A 20-year-old Schaumburg woman was arrested about 1:30 p.m. May 2 at Kohl’s, 171 N. Barrington Road, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole 20 pieces of jewelry.
  • An 18-year-old Hoffman Estates woman was arrested about 8 p.m. May 5 at Sephora in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole make-up.
  • A 23-year-old Hoffman Estates woman was arrested about 2:40 p.m. May 10 at Toys R Us, 1111 E. Golf Road, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole a child’s building play set.
  • A 42-year-old Elgin woman was arrested at 10:20 a.m. May 10 at Target, 2621 W. Schaumburg Road, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole a Kindle Fire and a cell phone case.
  • A 31-year-old Forest Park woman was arrested about 2 p.m. May 12 at Sephora in Woodfield Mall, and charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she stole a bottle of Chanel perfume.

Driving under the influence

  • A 28-year-old Rolling Meadows man was arrested at 1:14 a.m. April 30 near Wilkening and Golf roads, and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence and cited for leaving the scene of a crash and following too closely.
  • A 23-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 3:11 a.m. May 5 near Higgins and Meacham roads, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and cited for improper lane usage.
