Purdue University graduate and Elk Grove Village resident Kyle Isek has a goal: to start his own construction company – one that specializes in sustainable energy. For Kyle, achieving that goal starts with two paths of education. First, he is learning the construction business from the best teacher he can find, his dad. He works for him as a laborer during the day, and then picks up the other road of education in the evening: he is working on his MBA at Robert Morris University Morris Graduate School of Management at the Schaumburg campus (1000 Woodfield Drive).

β€œThe location and the schedule make the program very convenient,” he said. A graduate of Plainfield South High School and recently married, he relocated to Elk Grove Village. The closeness of the Schaumburg campus means he spends more time with his study group and less time in the car getting to class.

Kyle has a number of options to help him through to his career objectives in construction. He can continue working with his father, bringing in sustainability and management concepts to expand the company, or branch out on his own. Either way, he is determined to work in the field he loves, using family experience and an advanced degree to get there.

Robert Morris University's Morris Graduate School of Management (MGSM) offers MBA programs at the Schaumburg campus with concentrations in Human Resources, Management, Accounting and Finance. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Mid-day Choice is from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. and includes a light lunch. Evening classes are from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Classes for the next quarter begin on July 16. Tuition discounts are available to residents of Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows, Hoffman Estates, Streamwood and Bensenville. To speak to an admissions person at MGSM, call Diane Allen, Director of MGSM, Schaumburg, 847-969-4073.
