Arlington Cemetery Wreath Laying Ceremony, Plainfield Schools

Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier – President's Weekend
February 19, 2012

Our daughter, Rachael Lau (age 13) just returned from a three day trip to Washington D.C. with the Plainfield Schools 8th grade class. They visited an amazing amount of places including the Holocaust Memorial Museum, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, FDR Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial, Grant Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam, Korean and WWII Memorials, Challenger Memorial, Neuseum, the Smithsonian, the White House, Washington Monument, Ford’s Theater, Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, Capitol Hill, the National Cathedral, Kennedy gravesite, Arlington National Cemetery, and witnessed Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Attached are photos of chosen representatives from the Plainfield Middle Schools laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solder. She had a great time and I am very happy that we were able to send her on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see many of the great and important places in history.
