Palatine/Inverness Arts Council
Hosts High Tea in Palatine

The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council (PIAC) will host an afternoon High Tea at The Mint Julep Room, located at 117 West Slade Street in Downtown Palatine, on Sunday, November 21st from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

Attendees will be treated to a full high tea menu, live music by acoustic guitarist Merv Collins, drink specials and the chance to support the arts in the Palatine/Inverness community. The afternoon will also host a gently viewed art show, with all art available for purchase that day. The high tea is open to the public and tickets are $25 each. Reservations can be made by calling 847-963-6451 or tickets can be purchased at the door.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to learn more about the Arts Council’s role in the community,” stated PIAC President Bill Pohlman. “From the high teas to art receptions and juried art fairs, the council offers the opportunity for anyone to get involved.”

The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council is committed to the cultural, educational and economic growth of the members of our communities through support and encouragement of performing and visual arts and artists. The Council considers the arts as an integral part of life-long learning and works to provide the accessibility of public arts activities to all people.

According to Pohlman, The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council believes in the preservation of our cultural heritage and a responsible stewardship of community recourses. We believe in the power of the arts as a stimulant to our local economic environment. With our advocacy for the arts, we hope to encourage the highest aspirations in all art endeavors.
