District 230 department winners lauded

More than 30 senior students from the three Consolidated High School District 230 schools earned departmental awards and several were on hand as the district school board honored them at a recent meeting.

At Sandburg High School, the winners were Amanda Bixler in applied technology, Michael Burrafato in business, Lauren Clark in family and consumer science, Marianthi Hatzis in music, Wiktoria Kasprzyk in mathematics, Karissa Kouchis and Jeff Tablerion in physical education, Kiran Malhotra in science, Ryan Osterman in foreign language, Julie Polaski in art, Lauren Rasch in English and Joshua Skwarczyk in social studies.

At Stagg High School, the winners were Khalid Abour in applied tech, Michelle Krumpolc in art, Matthew Dixon in business, Gabrielle Petrelli in English, Christopher Mendez in family and consumer science, Emily Szymanski in foreign language, Catherine Michels in math, Robert Diaz in music, Meredith Atkenson in physical education, Christine Barkemeyer in science and Barbara Rajski in social studies.

At Andrew High School, winners were Davey Jones in applied technology, Brandon Siezega in art, Robert Renaud in business education, Sarah Kenny in English, Kristyn Chatlosh in family and consumer sciences, Nicole Revis in foreign language, Sarah Andersen in math, Wesley Frye in music, Bobby Bushnell in physical education and health, Ariel Hernandez-Leyva in science and Lucas Hawley in social studies.
