Doctors' Wives Give Back


December 7, 2011- Alexandra Blomgren (left) of Oak Park and Elizabeth Bach (right) of River Forset, prepared meals and distributed necessary toiletries and household items to homeless women at Deborah’s Place, a 184-housing unit facility in the Chicago area. Blomgren and Bach were two of 20 Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush doctors’ wives who gathered to give back to the community during this holiday season. The group, Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Spouses and Significant Others (SSO), is an organization with a goal of providing to families in need.

The event concluded with a contribution made from Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush to assist Deborah’s Place in offering comprehensive support services, stable housing and positive change for women in need.

Deborah’s Place is Chicago’s largest provider of supportive housing exclusively for women and is recognized as an innovative leader among homeless service providers locally and nationally.
