Deer Park Town Center Brings Sub-Rosa to the Suburbs

Have you heard? Deer Park Town Center is hosting its own version of Sub-Rosa for the very first time on Friday, June 22 at 8:00 PM. The night will consist of a secret dining event showcasing eclectic cuisine from Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, California Pizza Kitchen, The Waffle Gourmet, Red Robin, Tokio Sake and Stoney River Legendary Steaks, plus art and entertainment. The venue will be a kept a secret until 24 hours before the event, when attendees will receive an email containing the exact location and password to attend.

Sub-Rosa is a term that originated in Ancient Greece and means “Under the Rose.” It was understood that when a rose was hung over the table during a closed-door meeting, whatever was discussed did not leave that room. Today, Sub-Rosa implies anything done in secret, and Deer Park Town Center is doing just that: keeping it a secret. A delicious, provocative secret.

Sub-Rosa dining events typically only take place in urban settings but after attending one in downtown Chicago, Regina Verdico, Marketing Director at Deer Park Town Center, decided it was time that the suburbs get a taste of this one-of-a-kind experience. “The entire evening was such an adventure. From finding the exact location of the event to the surprise element of the food being served, it was an experience that I will remember forever,” says Verdico.

Deer Park Town Center has partnered with Barrington Cultural Arts Center (BCAC) and a portion of all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the organization. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes tapas style cuisine and three drinks. Guests will also enjoy art displayed by 12 artists from BCAC.
