Cookbook Authors to Sign Books at the Northbrook Farmers Market

Local area authors will be on hand to sell and autograph their cookbooks on Wednesday, June 29th between 9 a.m. and noon at the Northbrook Farmers’ Market. Chicago author Anupy Singla will sign her book, The Indian Slow Cooker: 50 Healthy, Easy, Authentic Recipes, a unique guide to preparing traditional Indian cuisine using classic slow-cooker techniques. Anupy, whose book is the number one selling Indian Cookbook on Amazon has appeared on WGN and WLS in Chicago as well as Good Morning Maryland. Northbrook author Elizabeth Manaster will be at the market to sign her cookbook, From A to Zucchini, a collection of recipes all using the garden staple zucchini. Her easy, mostly vegetarian recipes are user-friendly and will help the home gardener use up a surplus of zucchini. Fresh zucchini is also, of course, available at the Farmer’s Market for those non-gardeners! Her bi-weekly column From Plant to Plate appears in The Northbrook Patch and focuses on seasonal fruits and vegetables, including a recipe at the end of each column.
