The Seven Last Words of Christ

The Seven Last Words of Christ has moved thousands who have attended previous, sold-out performances, and given a new and deeper meaning to the Passion of Christ. This is an Incredible Live Passion Play along with professional soloists, a 50+ Voice Passion Choir and a professional orchestra. The performance returns to St. Jude Church, 241 W. Second Ave. New Lenox, for a performance on Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Maple Sugaring Days

Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville, will host Maple Sugaring Days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 10 and from 1 to 4 p.m. March 11. Visitors can learn the time-honored method of collecting sap the old-fashioned way.

Double Blessings MOTC Spring/Summer Children’s Clothing, Toy, and Eqpt. Resale

Double Blessings Mothers of Twins Club Spring/Summer Children’s Clothing, Toy, and Equipment Resale will take place from 7 a.m. To 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 in the exhibition building at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W. Manchester Road, Wheaton. The event will feature deals on gently used children’s clothing, toys, baby equipment and more. This sale is not only for parents of multiples, all are welcome. Winnetka Community House Wine and Beer Tasting

The Winnetka Community House’s 3rd annual wine tasting, Friday, March 9th,  and sale is better than ever with over 50 superb wines to taste, plus they’ve added microbrew and premium beers! St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Elmhurst’s 16th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will begin at noon Saturday, March 10 at the intersection of Wilson Street and Spring Road. The parade route will head north on Spring Road in Elmhurst. Families are encouraged to arrive early. Central Bark Pet Pantry Food Drive and Cutest Pet Contest

Bring your pets and pet food donations from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday March 10 to Central Bark, 256 Commerce Drive in Grayslake. Admission is a can or bag of cat or dog food. Prizes will be given for the best pet costumes and more.

Parenthesis Spring/Summer Consignment Sale

The annual consignment sale freatures gently used clothes and shoes for kids and babies, as well as baby equipment, maternity wear and more. The sale begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at Euclid Avenue Methodist Church, 405 S. Euclid Ave., Oak Par. Admission is free, but strollers and children younger than 12 are prohibited. Leap into the Library for this festive performance 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St., by the charming and talented Dennehy Irish Dancers. Children and their parents will delight in a variety of traditional and modern dances and pick up a few steps along the way.

Reptile Rampage

Hobnob with herps from all over the world at the Wildlife Discovery Center’s fourteenth annual Reptile Rampage. This gigantic education-only reptile show will be held on Sunday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City of Lake Forest’s Recreation Center, 400 Hastings Road.
