On June 9 Sprocket Websites celebrates another anniversary, but instead of sitting back in contemplation, the managing partners are busy expanding their horizons for the coming year.

While only two years have passed since the company incorporated, Sprocket Websites represents more than 20 years of independent web development.

Jim and Susan Nagy started J&S Tech Designs in 2007 while Don and Kate Gingold formed Gnu Ventures Company in 1996. The two couples met at a Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce event in 2008 and, instead of becoming competitors, started collaborating on projects. The four worked so well together that Sprocket Websites was formalized to represent the partnership.

Since then, a second office was opened in Bakersfield, California and the Sprocket team has grown to include associates from Boston to Scottsdale and from Australia to India.

Sprocket’s expertise lies in utilizing the popular DotNetNuke platform to efficiently build powerful websites. By tapping into the world-wide DNN community, Sprocket has been able to manage ever more complicated projects for larger clients while still providing solutions for start-ups and small business owners.

Local Illinois companies with whom Sprocket has had the honor of working include The Brickkicker, Elegante Salons, and Will County, while on the west coast Sprocket has built California sites for the North of the River Chamber of Commerce in Bakersfield and Anything Canine in Laguna Beach. Sprocket also operates the Chicago DotNetNuke Users Group and was a co-sponsor of the Day of DotNetNuke-Chicago.

Sprocket Websites looks forward to another successful year serving clients and participating in the DNN community. More of the Sprocket story, as well as internet marketing tips for business owners, can be found on their Facebook page or at
