Naperville Dentists to Participate in Step Up for Autism Walk to Support Patient

Leading Naperville dental practices Naperville Dental Specialists and Innovative Orthodontic Centers are coming together to form “Team Ben,” supporting friend and patient Ben Paulson at the Step Up for Autism Walk on June 24th.

“Ben is a great friend of ours, and we are happy to support him in any way that we can. By participating in Step Up for Autism, we hope to raise awareness about autism and improve the Naperville community,” says Dr. Anthony LaVacca of Naperville
Dental Specialists.

Besides gathering 55 volunteers to participate in the walk, Dr. LaVacca and Dr. Manal Ibrahim of Innovative Orthodontic Centers have offered to either pay the entrance fee or match the entrance fee of every employee walking. Together, the two dental practices have raised over $1000 for the walk.

The proceeds from the Step Up for Autism Walk go towards the Little Friends organization, which operates schools, community-based residential services, and the Little Friends Center for Autism.

“Little Friends is a wonderful organization, and we are delighted to be a part of this event. We want to help improve the lives of Ben and our community members with autism,” said Dr. Ibrahim, Naperville orthodontist.

Naperville residents can register for the Step Up for Autism Walk online at www.stepupforautism2012.kintera.org or call Little Friends at (630) 355-6533. Registration begins at 8:30 A.M., June 24th, at the Riverwalk in Naperville. Entertainment and children’s activities will be provided before the walk.
