Hinsdale Orchestra and Chorus to Perform in Naperville June 24

The West Suburban Symphony Orchestra and its symphonic chorus, under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Peter Lipari, will perform Verdi's Requiem at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24 at Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville. Featured soloists are Chicago-area opera singers John Concepcion, Paul Grizzell, Deborah Guscott, and Ann McMann.

"Verdi's Requiem is an exceptional piece of music – it's an electrifying, exquisite, and unforgettable work written in the style of Italian Romantic opera music, but set in the framework of the requiem mass," says Symphony president Richard Lukes.

Lipari, who has led orchestras, bands, choruses, and musical stage productions in the United States and abroad to rave reviews for more than 20 years, has served as the Society's music director since the fall of 2011.

The concert will last about 90 minutes, with no intermission and no late seating. Tickets are $20 or $25, depending on seat location. They are on sale at North Central College box office at Wentz Hall, 630-647-7469. For on-lines sales, go to
