Summer recitals begin June 5 at the Millennium Carillon

Naperville Assistant Carillonneur Christine Power will open the 2012 Carillon Recital Series at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at the Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower at 210 Aurora Road at the base of Rotary Hill in Naperville.

This year’s schedule includes performers from the Netherlands, Poland, and Canada, and from U.S. locations, including Madison, Connecticut; Provo, Utah; Washington, D.C.; and Lawrence, Kansas.
These free performances are held rain or shine (unless there is lightning) and audiences are welcome to picnic on the lawn. Post-recital Moonlight Carillon Tours are available from 8:00- 9:00 p.m.

Please note that there will be a recital on Wed., July 4 at 3:00 p.m. and not on Tuesday, July 3, as the Naperville Independence Day fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on July 3 this year. Additionally, the top of the Carillon again will be open for a spectacular view of the July 3rd fireworks. Seats are available only for the four lucky winners of the “Win a Trip to the Top” raffle. Raffle tickets may be purchased online at http://naperville-carillon.org/win-a-trip-to-the-top/ or at the Carillon Visitor Center, located at 455 Aurora Ave. Visitor Center hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.

In addition to the Tuesday evening concerts, our Naperville carillonneurs play recitals weekly throughout the year at 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
