Primrose School at Naperville Crossings

Fu picture

So often as we move about in our communities we see excavation for a new structure and we immediately become curious about what it could be? Is it a business or a restaurant, maybe another store? By now you may know Primrose Schools has come to Naperville.

For 30 years Primrose has established a reputation for quality care, employing only the best people and creating a culture of learning for every child. Parents are drawn to the concept of partnering with the teachers to determine what their childs individual learning needs are.

However, I have a rare opportunity to provide a little insight not only into the school itself, but it's owners. Daniel and Jennifer Fu want to share their motivation behind joining the Primrose brand.

Dan and Jennifer met at Ohio State and married in 2003. A Primrose school was built by their home in Dublin, Ohio. Their son Lucas started when he was 3. The Fu's appreciated all Primrose did to help him adjust to group care and to keep him safe while building a solid foundation for educational success.

Shortly after little Lucas started at Primrose, Dan became intrigued by the franchise model and began considering building their own. During that time, they heard about Money Magazines- "Best places to live in America"- and Naperville was #3 that year. Immediately after that it seemed everyone they talked to mentioned Naperville in some capacity, the acclaimed schools as well as the Naperville Library. It became quickly evident that this young family was destined to move to Naperville. The Fu's relocated specifically to build a Primrose facility.

For the past three years, they have come to love this active family friendly community. Jennifer Fu will be at the school full-time, as this is a Primrose requirement. The curriculum is developed by an educational team, and is constantly refined to incorporate the latest in early childhood research and experience shared by our teachers.

The Naperville facility will open this summer. The staff will care for children starting at 6 weeks of age thru Private Pre-K. Before and after school care will be offered for elementary aged children. Private kindergarten is slated for Fall of 2013.

If you would like to meet the owners Jennifer and Daniel Fu there will be a Parent Preview meeting May 19th, at Color Me Mine located at 2835 Showplace Drive Naperville from 9 am – 10 am. Join them for storytime and a complimentary ceramic craft. The School Director Jennifer Ferraro will also be on hand to answer questions.
