The Naperville Park District invites the public to view and comment on preliminary plans for a future nature center and related improvements at Knoch Knolls, a 217-acre park in south Naperville. A community open house will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at the Wigwam Building at Knoch Knolls, located at 336 Knoch Knolls Rd.

Based on resident input via community surveys and in previous public meetings, the Park District is planning a nature center and related improvements to give the community more opportunities to enjoy and appreciate the rich and varied natural areas at Knoch Knolls.

The Park District plans to apply for an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to help fund a portion of the project.

Those who would like to provide feedback, but are unable to attend the open house, are encouraged to submit their comments via e-mail to eshutes@napervilleparks.org.
