The Village Vocal Chords, the “VVC”, announce this year’s spring show, Spring Into Song, “A Harmony of Voices”, an a cappella festival featuring several local a cappella groups. The show will be Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 149 West Brush Hill Rd, Elmhurst, IL.
The Village Vocal Chords chorus is the current championship chorus of Harmony, Inc. (international women's barbershop organization). The VVCs have won that honor an unprecedented 18 times. With over 50 years of experience in performing, competing, and presenting annual shows, they provide a traditional barbershop experience loaded with fun, humor, and lots of harmony. This year’s show will feature two sets performed by the chorus, and will also feature Anima – Young Singers of Greater Chicago (Chamber Ensemble), 9th Harmony (a girl’s singing group from Glenbard South High School), Fingerpaint (a men’s quartet from College of DuPage), and 2 of the VVC’s own quartets (Four Eyes and The Karamels).
