Roger Ebert's Book Signing at Anderson's Bookshop

Anderson’s Bookshop hosted a book signing for Ebert’s autobiography, “Life Itself:A Memoir” on October 6, 2011 at their Naperville location. The store was packed as fans were anxious to meet the man behind the writing.

Nathan Blake, a NIU film student from Kirkland, Illinois, attended the signing with his dad Wayne Blake. He wanted to ask Ebert about his take on the film, “The Truman Show” as he believes that film set the tone for all the reality based TV shows we have nowadays.

“I grew up watching him on TV with my Dad – he made it entertaining for people to watch film critics. To me, he is ‘the’ critic,” said Blake.

Chaz Ebert, his wife of 19 years, was by Roger’s side that evening, chatting with people and keeping the book signing line progressing.
