Savior of the World-His Birth and Resurrection

Several years ago, when Vince Buss heard about his church’s production of “Savior of the World-His Birth and Resurrection,” he had fond memories of his high school and college years in theater productions and choral groups so he decided to audition. His rich bass voice earned him the role of the angel Gabriel as well as a smaller part as Thaddeus, one of Christ’s apostles. As rehearsals continued Vince began to feel a deeper appreciation and love for the Lord Jesus Christ. As performance time drew near, he joined other cast members in sending email invitations to co-workers and friends, and was gratified when 17 responded and attended the performance. Fast forward to 2010 and Vince is again involved with the production, this time performing again as Gabriel and as James, another beloved apostle of Christ. His young family is supportive of his rehearsal schedule that often cuts into family time. His six-year-old daughter wanted to be in the play as well, but Vince wants her to wait until the next time when she is a little older. What is his reason for participating again in 2010? He says he was so moved by the first experience he wants to share the spirit of the life of Christ with any who will listen.

  1. Awesome article. Awesome production. I play Eli the Shepherd in the first act, and James, son of Alphaeus in the second act. This is a fantastic opportunity to spread the love of Christ in our community.
