Washington principal picked to head secondary education

Naperville Unit District 203 is looking to one of its principals to fill a top administrative post.

Washington Junior High Principal Bob Ross has been chosen for the role of assistant superintendent for secondary education, replacing Dan Bridges who will become interim superintendent next school year.

Before taking the helm of Washington in 2006, Ross served as co-chair of the core team for the School-Family-Community Partnership and has participated in contract negotiations and interview teams. He also has worked as principal and assistant principal in Elmwood Park and holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Northern Illinois University, a bachelor’s in teaching from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and both secondary education and administration certifications.
