Police seek ID of man who approached teen

Naperville police are searching for a man who approached a teenage girl earlier this week on the city’s south side.

The girl was was walking near Barkdoll and Royce roads about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when a man in his 30s with a medium build and thin light brown hair drove by in an older model black SUV, according to police. The man asked questions such as how old she was and what school she attended and told her he thought she was “cute.”

The teen fled, but police would still like to locate and identify the man. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Gibler at 630-305-5453 or Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.
