Easter happenings in the western suburbs

The western suburbs are full of Easter events, including egg hunts and bunny visits. TribLocal has compiled a list of local Easter events below. Did we miss one? Breakfast with the Bunny at The Morton Arboretum
9 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7
The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle
The Morton Arboretum will host Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 11 a.m. April 6 and April 7. Participants can eat breakfast while the Easter bunny will visit each table. The all-ages event will take place at the Ginkgo Restaurant at the arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle. The cost is free for children 3 and younger, $26 for children 4 to 12 years old and $32 for adults. Community Easter Egg Hunt
10 a.m. Saturday, April 7
St. John’s Lutheran Church and School, 220 S. Lincoln St., Lombard
Children ages 9 and younger will be divided into age groups for the egg hunt. Registration is not required, and the event will take place rain or shine.

Naperville Jaycees 29th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
10 a.m. Saturday, April 7
Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville
The Naperville Jaycees will host the 29th annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. April 7 at Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville. After the egg hunt, participants can take photos with the Easter Bunny.

The free event is open to children ages 1 through 8. Children 2 and younger may receive help from an adult. Participants are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item during the event that will benefit the Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry. Businesses, organizations or individuals interested in sponsorship of the egg hunt can find more information at naperjaycees.org.

Easter Brunch at The Morton Arboretum
9:30 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 8
The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle
Families can enjoy an Easter brunch while the Easter Bunny visits each table April 8. Seatings will be at 9:30 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. The all-ages event will take place at the Ginkgo Restaurant at the arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle. The cost is $32 for children and $47 for adults. Eggstravaganza
9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 7
St. John Lutheran Church, 7214 S. Cass Ave., Darien
In addition to looking for treat-filled plastic eggs, children and their families will have the opportunity to participate in games and to make crafts. Roaming puppeteers along with Shami, the congregation’s comfort dog, will greet all who attend.

Easter Egg Hunt
10 to 11:30 a.m,. Saturday, April 7
First Presbyterian Church of Downers Grove, 4th Street and Fairview Avenue, Downers Grove
Participants should bring their own Easter basket to hunt for eggs at the First Presbyterian Church of Downers Grove.

Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Visit
1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 7
West Hills Community Church, 213 E. 55th St., Westmont
There will be an Easter Bunny visit, a moon jump, a coloring contest with prizes, arts and crafts, sidewalk chalk and an egg hunt at 2 p.m. More than 1,000 colorful eggs filled with candy and toys will be hidden for children to find.

Family Easter Portraits
Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills, 60 55th St Clarendon Hills
9:30 to 11 a.m., Sunday, April 8
After the 8:30 am and 10 a.m. Easter worship services, professional photographers will take free family portraits.

Easter Egg Hunt
Katherine Legge Memorial Park, 5901 S. County Line Road, Hinsdale
10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 7
Participants can bring their baskets, hunt for treats and visit with the Easter Bunny. Breakfast with the Easter bunny, festive spring crafts and entertainment will make this event sponsored by the Community House, the Hinsdale Center for the Arts, and the Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department fun for the whole family.
