Polls open in Mount Prospect

The polls are open for primary elections.

The polls opened at 6 a.m. at more than 25 locations in Mount Prospect and will close at 7 p.m. Anyone in line at 7 p.m. will have a chance to vote.

An electricity aggregation referendum – where voters are asked if they want their community leaders to bid for alternative electricity providers – is a key issue throughout the suburbs.

Voters may need to head to different polling places and may see new names and districts on their ballot due to redistricting.

Voters can go to the Cook County Clerk’s website to find their polling place.

Already 32,384 suburban Cook County voters cast early ballots, according to the Cook County Clerk’s office.
