If your giftee likes to drink Venice’s most famous cocktail, the Bellini, then you know they already like Prosecco, the sparkling Italian white wine used to make the popular peach drink. The wine is made from mainly Glera (also known as Prosecco) grapes and is produced in the northern Veneto and Friuli regions of Italy. Look for a bottle of Mionetto il Prosecco ($10). It has D.O.C. (denomination of controlled and guaranteed origins) status, ensuring that it is made in the specific Prosecco wine-producing region of Italy. For something even more impressive, the magnum of Mionetto Prosecco Brut serves up to 12 glasses of bubbles ($24; widely available at liquor retailers)
