Stephanie Hardiman Simon

Community Producer
My name is Stephanie Hardiman Simon, and I'm the community producer for the south suburbs of Tinley Park, Orland Park, Frankfort, Mokena, Lemont, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Orland Hills, Manhattan and Palos areas.

I help these communities learn about news in their area. I also work with citizen contributors to feature their stories, photos and events online and in TribLocal’s weekly print edition delivered with the Chicago Tribune.

I believe that though the industry is changing, there will always be room for good reporting. Journalists give people the information they need to be self-governing and learn more about what it means to be a member of the human race.

When I'm not talking TribLocal, I'm usually watching bad reality television with my husband or spending time with my family and friends. I'm a huge sportsfan, and I love discovering new shops and eateries.
