Cavaliers drilling in Drum Corps' spring training

The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps of Rosemont, Ill., winners of 19 American Legion, Drum Corps International and Veterans of Foreign War National Championships, held their preseason camp at Benedictine University in Lisle last week.
Founded by Donald Warren in 1948, the Cavaliers are working 15 hours a day preparing their show title, "Xtraordinary" for 2011 DCI touring season, which begins June 18 at Saginaw, Texas.
The Corps' first Chicago-area appearance is June 26 at the Sports Complex of Benedictine University, 5700 College Rd. The show, which will feature eight corps from around the United States, including the Cavaliers, begins at 6 p.m. Ticket information can be obtained by calling (630) 968-0419 or visit www.cavaliers.org
