The Ponds of Wealshire in conjunction with volunteers from Stevenson High School are delighted to present a multi-generational art show on Tuesday, March 27 at 4:00 p.m. This program is open to the public.

Since late December the students from the Stevenson High School Key Club have been joining residents from The Ponds of Wealshire, an assisted-living facility in Lincolnshire, on an ongoing basis to create the pieces that will be displayed. A variety of art projects with different mediums have been created. Each piece is a collaborative work that helps to express not only artistic efforts but also emotional themes.

"Using art as a way to bring generations together is a great tool," says Ponds Activities Director Elizabeth Ury. "The students are working with our seniors who don't usually use their hands and can help them break down barriers to communication. It also helps both the seniors and the students to appreciate the abilities that each one brings to the project."

The art show will last approximately one hour and will also feature a wine and cheese reception with the artists. To RSVP please contact Elizabeth Ury eury@wealshire.com
