State Sen. Schmidt allowed back home, but no contact with neighbors

State Sen. Suzi Schmidt has been cleared by a judge to return to her home near Lake Villa following her arrest this month involving an alleged dispute with her neighbors.

But a Lake County judge today extended an order of protection that forbids the senator from having contact with the family.

Schmidt was arrested by Lake County sheriff’s deputies on June 12 on a misdemeanor warrant that alleged she caused damage to the neighbors’ property.
