CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Will County, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to draw from community resources to provide well-trained volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system, has been chosen as the designated charitable partner for the Glass Impressions 10th Anniversary Corvette Car Show to take place Sunday July 15, 2012, at the Autobahn Country Club, 3795 Patterson Road, Joliet, Ill. The show is co-sponsored by Bill Jacobs Joliet, the Autobahn Country Club, and Glass Impressions Corvette Club.

“We are very grateful to Autobahn Country Club for hosting this event and for Bill Jacobs and Glass Impressions for selecting CASA of Will County as its partner to benefit from a portion of the proceeds,” said CASA of Will County Executive Director Rita Facchina. “We receive more than half of our funding from contributions and fundraising, so when groups like these take the initiative to raise funds on our behalf, it enables us to help even more children.”

Since 1994, CASA of Will County, a 501(c)(3) whose offices are located at the River Valley Justice Center in Joliet, has been serving abused and neglected children. In the year 2000, the court began assigning CASAs as the child’s GAL (or Guardian Ad Litem) in court cases, resulting in improved legal representation for these children.

CASA of will County will benefit from the sale of 50/50 raffle tickets, which will be available and sold at the show and winners must be present to win. For those unable to attend, CASA asks that they consider making a tax-deductible donation on its website by visiting http://www.casaofwillcounty.org.

This year’s Corvette Show is free to the public and $20 for show car entries. In addition to the opportunity to see a wide range of show-quality Corvettes, highlights of the day will include the following:

• Food available
• Goodie bags and dash plaques for show car entrants
• Door prizes
• Awards for show entrants in six classes
• Special recognition to farthest traveled
