"Pawn Queens" Gold Party to Benefit Agape Missions

JOLIET, IL -Agape Missions, NFP, in partnership with Naperville Jewelry & Loan, home to the stars of the popular TLC television show “Pawn Queens” is sponsoring its inaugural Gold Party fundraiser on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Agape Missions’ offices located at 840 Plainfield Road in Joliet (just north of six corners). The event is an opportunity for individuals to bring their unwanted gold or silver jewelry, gold and silver coins, and potentially, limited items of value and receive free appraisals. A $5.00 donation for admission is required.

“With the holiday season right around the corner, this is a perfect opportunity for individuals to find some extra spending cash while making a difference in someone else’s life,” said Jill Skole, MSW, CADC, Agape Missions’ Executive Director. “Funds raised from this event go directly into the services we provide to those populations we serve through our social service agency.”

Everyone has broken chains, bracelets, pins, or cuff links that haven't been worn in years. What about the lonely earring without a match? Gold and silver jewelry that is dated, broken, or has a "history" not worth reliving, can all be turned into cash. With the price of gold at an all-time high, now is the perfect time to clean out the jewelry box.

“To provide a highest value amount to our visitors, we just don’t make an offer. We show the person the value of their gold or silver. Then, we will explain our offer and where the money goes,” according to the management staff at Naperville Jewelry & Loan. In order to ensure that everyone gets a chance to speak with an on-site appraiser, Agape Missions is taking appointments for the five-hour event. Gold Party guests can make an appointment and discuss details of the event by calling Sara with Agape Missions at (815) 723-1548, extension 32.
