FREE Document Shredding Event Saturday 9/24/11 For Joliet Residents

In partnership efforts with the FEMA National Preparedness Month campaign, the City of Joliet Emergency Management Agency will be holding a Document Shredding Event this Saturday, September 24, 2011.

The Document Shredding Event will take place from 9AM – Noon at the Joliet West High School Parking Lot near Glenwood Avenue, Joliet. Joliet Residents may bring two medium boxes of materials per resident to the event for shredding. Participants must provide proof of Joliet residency in the form of a City of Joliet utility bill to participate.

The event will also allow Joliet EMA staff to distribute information to participants on National Preparedness Month. The information will include how to build an emergency supply kit for your household and business; how to make a family emergency plan; and how to build a pet emergency supply kit.
