Librarians from the Joliet Public Library staffed a booth at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo last weekend to promote their upcoming Star Wars Day event. Braving throngs of geeks, nerds and other pop culture enthusiasts, the librarians helped spread the word about the event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2 at the library, 150 N. Ottawa St.

Star Wars Day will feature games, trivia contests and raffles, plus a visit from science fiction artists and costume hobbyists. The event is free. For more information, email rburns@jolietlibrary.org.
