Teen charged with discharge of a firearm and mob action, and more

Will County Adult Detention Facility and Will County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Gun-Related

  • An 18-year-old Joliet male was arrested March 21 on a charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm near an occupied building and mob action. The resident of the 300 block of South Eastern Avenue was paroled March 13 on a one-year sentence for aggravated use of a weapon in a vehicle.
  • A 20-year-old Joliet man from the 1000 block of Sherman Street arrested March 19 is scheduled to return to court April 24 on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle.
  • A 32-year-old Joliet woman from the 400 block of South Water Street arrested April 5 is scheduled to return to court April 30 on charges of possessing a firearm with defaced identification, possessing a firearm without a gun permit and possession of a controlled substance. An 18-year-old Joliet male from the 100 block of Edward Street arrested March 16 is scheduled to return to court May 7 on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He remained in the Adult Detention Facility Tuesday in lieu of $20,000 bail.
  • A 19-year-old Crest Hill male arrested March 17 is scheduled to return to court April 24 on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle, violating bail and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
  • A 55-year-old Joliet man from the 200 block of Davis Street arrested March 28 during a police contact at his home is scheduled to appear in court April 24 on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of aggravated assault. He is free on $35,000 bail.

Burglary

  • A 21-year-old Joliet man from the 500 block of Landau Avenue arrested March 28 at Campbell Street and Prairie Avenue is scheduled to appear in court April 25 for a preliminary hearing on a charge of residential burglary in connection with a break-in on the 600 block of William Street. He is free on $50,000 bail.
  • A 25-year-old Joliet man from the 300 block of Anderson Avenue arrested March 22 during a 2:10 a.m. traffic stop at Comstock and Irene streets is scheduled to appear in court Friday on a charge of residential burglary.
  • Two Joliet males, 19 and 17, arrested March 21 at their home on the 1700 block of Wake Island Drive are scheduled to appear in court Friday on a charge of residential burglary. They remained in the Adult Detention Facility Tuesday in lieu of $60,000 bail.
