Prosecutor: Midlothian man stole heroin from evidence storage

A Midlothian man has been charged with stealing more than 3 kilograms of heroin from a Will County sheriff’s evidence container last fall, a break-in that wasn’t an inside job, a special prosecutor said.

Terry D. Jenkins, 43, is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail as authorities anticipate making at least one more arrest in connection with the Oct. 12 burglary.
