HHS barbershop quartet champions

On March 31 the Huntley High School barbershop quartet The Sharp Set won the Illinois Barbershop Harmony Society state high school championship in Peoria. Christian Aldridge, Brody Burkart, Chris O'Meara and Zach Polentini are all seniors at HHS.

Members of The Sharp Set have competed in barbershop competitions for three years. Two years ago, as the group Does this Chord Make Me Look Flat? they placed second at the state competition. Last year, as Resolvery, they qualified but were unable to attend due to conflicts with the school musical.
“I think that this was just a really fantastic way to end our senior year” said O’Meara.

Another Huntley group The Quartic Quartet consisting of senior Sean Ramsaier and juniors Andrew Rewerts, Tyler Darnell, and Austin Wise placed second at the state contest.
