The Illinois State Board of Education has recognized four staff members from Consolidated School District 158 with Those Who Excel awards.

Marlowe Middle School reading and language arts teacher, Tricia Baltzersen, received an award of recognition in the educational service personnel category; former Marlowe principal and current district chief academic officer, Mike Moan, received an award in the school administration category; and Emilio Guebara, lead custodian at Marlowe, won an award in the educational service personnel category.

Huntley-based District 158 Board of Education member and finance committee chair Anthony Quagliano was also honored with an award of excellence in the school board member category.

The winners received their awards during a recognition banquet Oct. 22 in Normal. Annually, districts are allowed to nominate one individual in each of six categories.
