Lynne Jordan plays benefit concert for Kids with Special Needs

Lynne Jordan & The Shivers is one of Chicago's finest R & B bands to date, is performing at the Cubby Bear North tonight, at 8pm. She has connected with A Big Blast Project from Glenview, and wants to help create more awareness of what this organization does for the special needs community.

"My son has a sensory actuary processessing disorder, is the type of kid who tried to play on an organized sports team and the results were heartbreaking to watch. He said he never wanted to play sports again. Because of A Big Blast, my son can play sports and walks around say I'm an athlete. Without Big Blast that wouldn't be the case…"

"We're having this fundraiser to raise funds for the programs to continue on" says founder and President Rhonda Penzell. Most not for profits are suffering these days, and A Big Blast, a first year non profit, is no different".

If you're looking for something fun to do tonight, Saturday, Oct.22nd, go to the Cubby Bear North in Lincolnshire. " For $25 you get appetizers, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and a band that will have you dancing all night long" says Penzell. All proceeds go to benefit A Big Blast Project. It's going to be a blast of a party!!
