Wide Variety of Credit and Non-Credit Summer Classes Available at COD Regional Centers

College of DuPage is offering a wide range of credit and non-credit classes for adults, teens and youth this summer on weekdays, evenings and weekends at regional centers and additional locations in Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Naperville and Westmont.

Addison Center at Technology Center of DuPage, 301 S. Swift Road, (630) 942-4600, is open this summer Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Credit courses are offered at the center in the areas of anatomy, business, cosmetology, English, history, health science, math, nursing, philosophy, psychology, sociology and speech. In addition, a wide range of non-credit classes are available at the center and nearby locations, including Auto Repair, Basic Home Repair, GMAT Test Prep, GRE Test Prep, LSAT Test Prep, SAT Test Prep, Red Cross CPR/First Aid, Woodworking, Art Start, Artist’s Portfolio, Lego Robotics, Kick-Start Math, Kick-Start Reading, and Study Skills.

Bloomingdale Center, 162 S. Bloomingdale Road, (630) 942-4900, is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bloomingdale Center offers a wide range of general education courses in subjects such as anthropology, biology, earth science, economics, English, education, health science, history, math, physics, political science, psychology, reading, sociology, Spanish and writing. Non-credit courses offered at nearby locations include Freshman Study Skills, Group Study Skills, College Success Writing, College Success Speed Reading, ACT Test Prep, and U.S. Crisis and Controversy.

Carol Stream Center, 500 N. Kuhn Road, (630) 942-4700, is open this summer Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to
2:30 p.m. Credit courses offered at the center include anatomy & physiology, anthropology, computers, economics, education, English, health science, math, philosophy, physics, psychology and speech. Non-credit classes offerings at the center and nearby locations include a “Stay Well, Live Longer” seminar, Red Cross CPR/First Aid, Kick-Start Math, Kick-Start Reading and Homework Help.

Naperville Center, 1223 Rickert Drive, (630) 942-4700, is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Credit courses are offered at the center and other Naperville locations in accounting, anatomy and physiology, anthropology, art, biology, computers, cosmetology, economics, education, English, health science, humanities, math, literature, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, reading, religious studies, sociology, Spanish, speech and writing. In addition, a wide array of non-credit courses are available in the Naperville area that cover topics such as acting, art, archery, computers, coupon collecting, homeschool subjects, fitness, home design, youth leadership camp, Lego robotics, Kick-Start Reading, Kick-Start Math, retirement planning, Spanish, science, social studies, speech, study skills and more.

Westmont Center, 650 Pasquinelli Drive, (630) 942-4800, is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Westmont Center offers credit courses in the areas of anatomy and physiology, anthropology, biology, computer information systems, geology, astronomy, earth science, economics, English, history, health science, math, humanities, nursing, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, Spanish and speech. Non-credit courses are offered in art, computers, couples massage, retirement planning and ACT Test Prep.
