Glenbard North seeks help to renovate weight room

With the help of Glenbard District 87, the Carol Stream Park District, community, and Glenbard North’s Athletic Booster Club, Glenbard North High School has made significant improvements to the athletic facilities at Glenbard North High School over the past four years.

Along with the major improvements, Glenbard North students and coaches also have worked hard to raise money for other items that have allowed Glenbard North to continually grow and develop its programs. Glenbard North faculty and administrators believe it is very important to provide students with adequate equipment and the tools necessary to be successful. Glenbard North is dedicated to this process but needs the community’s help.

Glenbard North plans to renovate its weight room in order to give students the proper equipment and training opportunities necessary to be educated and compete at the highest level. Glenbard North’s weight room is constantly used as a classroom and training facility. The equipment is dated and does not provide the functionality necessary to support the many students who use it.

The cost to fully renovate the weight room is approximately $60,000, and we would greatly appreciate any contribution you or your organization could make to help us reach our goal. There is a growing number of local businesses and community leaders who support of this program, as well as many Glenbard North alumni. Glenbard North alumnus and retired Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Ryan Diem has made a significant donation to this project. As a former Panther and professional athlete, he understands the importance of having quality facilities that will help students reach their goals just as he was able to do. "I know we can continue to build on our already successful sports programs through better training. It is paramount that our facilities are updated and our students are re-energized and excited about a new weight room. I was able to build my foundation at Glenbard North, and our current students deserve the best opportunity to compete and succeed. Please join us in helping them reach the next level."
